Sharon Therese M.I.P.T.I and myself are doing a Pampering party and a charity coffee morning in the same place to help raise money for my new communication aid, which will be £5,377.

I have today received the refund! I can confirm that the total amount of money is in the appeal account is £4,350.
I had to got some specialize equipment, that why it isn’t saying £5k.

Pauline Chittenden’s psychic fair have raised £140 which have hit my original target of £5,000. I would like to say Thank You to Pauline and her helpers.

There is a big BUT! Because I had to send the new communication aid back and ask for a refund. Now I have to choose another communication aid from a different company. I have 3 in mind. One of them I had a demonstration of it this week. I was really impressed with it, but it will cost £5,277. It is called Tellus 4 and it has everything that I need. The others 2 are much cheaper, but I need to add extra equipment to them.

I have NOT decided yet, because the communication between these 3 different companies is slow at this end of Christmas. Also I have not got a refund yet, which I’m hoping to receive this week. When I get the refund I will post it on the website.

2 weeks ago my new portable communication aid (PowerBox 7) has gone wrong again for the 4^th time. I’m getting a refund. I’m so disappointed with it.

At the beginning of this year I got a PowerBox 7 on loan for 2 weeks and it worked well, and it worked with my radio switches and it was hi-tech. Also it was under £5,000, So I started fund raising for it and brought it in June, and what a biggest let down ever! I am so embarrass to go anyway now, because I got everyone involve with the fund raising, like the media, neighbours, local church and shops etc.

The company has now agreed to give me a full refund. I think it is disgusting and extremely disappointed with how they can build and sell a communication aid with so many hardware problems.

With help from Medical Physics Department in Canterbury they have got my old communication aid up and running again, so I got a portable voice when I go out and about.

With help from Medical Physics I am looking at other communication aids and hoping to choose a new communication aid, and I’m hoping it’s at the price. That is another reason why I chosen the PowerBox 7, because it was cheaper than other communication aids. I don’t want to ask the public again for more money.

When I thought it was all over! A week ago Pauline chittenden got in touch with me through my website and told me they have arranged a psychic fair at St Luke’s. I thought that this is a bit strange, so I replied to Pauline and asking for more info. Apparently Artwise in St Luke’s Avenue in Ramsgate is holding a psychic fair for me to help me to hit the target of £5,000.
I did explain that I have the communication aid, but no; They would like to do this for me for christmas. I thought that is so kind of them!
I only need £140 to hit the target, and I’m sure that we will raised that on the day! They are holding the psychic fair on Saturday 10th of December at 10.30am.

Remember any money that is raised over the target will go to Find A Voice charity. Find A Voice supports children and adults who have a severe speech, language or communication difficulty, and who may require some form of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support. This can include signing, symbols or a communication aid.

Hi Folks!
I have some more good news! All the money that I need have been raised! We didn’t hit the target of £5000, but I don’t care, because I got the new communication aid, and got my custom made wireless switch setup and the environmental control system, and I’m just very glad that I don’t have to do fund raising again a few more years! I was hoping for a new desktop computer for home, but you can only flog a dead horse so many times, and it was not to be. (I need to save my money up!)
At least I got a new voice for going out and about – when it decide to work!

We have raised £4,860. WOW, WELL DONE EVERYONE! I really appreciated in everyone who helped. We really worked our socks off! I’m only waiting on one small donation, which I’m hoping to collect tomorrow.
In the last 2 weeks I have raised a cheque of £250 from the Star Of The East Hall who did my clairvoyance evening. Another cheque of £42.50 from Alice Maycock who did a sponsored silence for 6 hours at her college.

It has been a hard marathon with some highs and lows, but it has worth it! I’m glad that it is now over.

I’m still waiting for the cheque from the Star of the East Hall for my Clairvoyance evening, but it has been reported that the cheque could be £215 wow!

Alice Maycock is doing some fund raising at her collage (North West Kent College Dartford), which is brilliant news!

We have raised £4,567 so far! That is without including the outstanding cheque. I have a very strange feeling by Mid Oct we have reach the £5000 target!!!

As many of you may know that I already got the new communication aid. I just need now Environmental control system to help to control the lights etc, and I need a special made head switches which is being made as we speak.

I do have some great news again! Someone called Jane from Vitalise my respite place wrote to The Rotary Club of Broadstairs, who gave me on Monday a cheque of £150 to my fund raising appeal, AND £100 to Vitalise for my next holiday!
Now I only got £105 to raise for my communication aid appeal. I’m sure that I will raise it on my Clairvoyance evening Tonight.

I would like to say thank you to Eric Mark and Brian Short from The Rotary Club for this cheque.
Eric did say the surname of this Jane from Vitalise, but I have forgotten it. Anyway, Thank you Jane so much!

On 24 September · 19:30 - 21:30 we are having an evening of clairvoyance with Janice Brook from Rochester, Mary Ward from Whitstable, and Jean Williams from Ramsgate. We are having the evening at the Star of the East Hall in Broadstairs.

It’s £6 per head. All the money that we will raised on the evening will go to my appeal!

Hi everyone,
We are doing very well with the fund raising! Recently I received a cheque of £100 from St Pauls in Sandgate. Also another cheque of £150 from Thanet’s Lions Club thanks to Steve Carley! In total we have raised £4572 so far! Well done everyone who has helped! Xxxxx. I personally need to raise £350 to get the modified equipment for my new communication aid! Although it would be fab if we could reach the £5000 mark, that will mean I can get more specialize equipment which will help in my daily life.

Any money that is left over, I will donate to Find A Voice who is a charity based in Ashford, who provide advice and support to people with speech and communication difficulties. I think that this is a very important charity. There is over a million people in the UK who connect impress their feelings or their basic needs, just because they are unable to communicate!!! Everyone got a human right to communicate and to have the freedom speech!!!
